Does the LED gel lash system work with hand fanning technique?
I'm old school, and I hand make all my fans and our LED gel lash system works beautifully. When your fan and the lamp is positioned properly, the glue completely cures in 1 second, meaning you can let go and the fan would not close.
Our LED gel lash system makes a slim base, and unless you over dip, the glue would not creep up your fans. You'll be amazed how fast you can do a volume set with the system, your fans will stay open and secured in 1 second with no sticky residue.
I like to work on one eye, then the other, then come back. Can I continue to work this way?
It is possible, but our recommendation is to do more on one eye (30 - 40 per eye), then work on the other. This is because you save the hassle of adjusting the lamp, or client's head position each time you switch.
Because our system cures in 1 second, you will not have any stickies. You attach a lash, and you can immediately work on the eyelash right beside it.
- With that said, if you prefer to work back and forth, here are some ways...
you can adjust the position of the lamp every time you switch to the other eye. (time consuming) - you can tilt your client’s head to one side then the other so the eye you're working on is positioned under the lamp.
- you can purchase a second lamp and use one lamp per eye. You operate the right lamp with your right foot and the left lamp
How do I remove the lashes?
You can use the same remover you are using for the traditional glue. The main ingredient for our glue is still cyanoacrylate, so whatever you are using, cream or gel remover would work. The grown out lashes can be gently removed using tweezers during a refill appointment.
Do you recommend jade stone/glue ring?
We've tried both and they both work great!
Do I paint? Shimmy? What technique works best?
The beauty of our system is that the glue won't cure until you step on the foot pedal and shine the light.
You can paint, shimmy and adjust all you want until the natural lash and the extension is perfectly aligned. When you are ready, step on the foot pedal and the glue completely cures in 1 to 2 seconds.
Can I use pre-made fans?
Yes! Our system works great with pre-made fans.
How long is the retention?
Because our glue is not affected by the oil or water, and cures flexible, the retention is so much better than any other eyelash glue on the market.
The extensions usually last until the natural lashes falls out with the growth cycle. The extensions that falls off earlier than that is due to rubbing or some sort of physical contact. Skincare, watery eyes, sweat, and other products that may come in contact with the lashes will not affect the retention!
Can I use the LED gel lash system with any type of extensions?
Yes you can. You can use all types of extensions, minks, silks, singles, premade fans, handmade volume fans, eclipse lashes, any curls, any thickness. Whatever lashes you are currently using can be used with our system.
Should I still use a primer?
Yes, having a clean slate to work with is very important for proper bond and a good retention. Please be sure the lashes and the lash line is clean, and use a primer prior to application.
Does the system work with singles/hybrid/volume?
Yes it works with all techniques. You can do classic singles for one to one attachment, hybrid, volume and even mega-volume. Whatever technique you use, our system works!
Do I need to be certified? Do I need training to use the system?
Our LED gel lash system is meant to be used by a certified eyelash professionals. However, as long as you know how to lash with traditional glue, you do not need any training to implement our system at your salon.
We developed our system so that it can be used intuitively, and is easier than normal eyelash extensions. Once you set it up, you will get used to it in a few minutes. The system also comes with a detailed instruction manual.
Is the light harmful to the eye?
No, the light will not harm the eye as long as you do not look directly into the light. (and even if you do look directly into the lamp, our lamp do not emit light that causes damage to the lens of your eyes.
When used correctly for eyelash extensions purposes, clients' eyes should be closed at all times during the procedure, and thus the light is safe when the system is used properly. The lamp should be directed towards the clients' eye area, and so it is also safe for the lash artists using the system.
For added protection, you can opt to use Look Gorgeous GS400 safety glasses. This will protect your eyes, in case the light is directed towards your eyes.

Is the light damaging to my skin?
Our short answer is NO! The light is safe on your clients' skin. We have developed the system over the past year in collaboration with external research laboratories. GS400 is calibrated with a special combination of wavelength, light intensity, power and exposure time to be safe on the human eyes and skin, while optimizing the retention and cure time.
Here is why. During the development phase, we opted for a visible light range of light, instead of UV light range for safety reasons, as we all know UV light has a negative effect on our skin and eyes.
As many of you know, there are UV-A and UV-B. UV-B is the type of UV that causes your skin to turn darker or even burn sometimes. Our GS400 lamp produces absolutely no UV-B. UV-A is the type of UV that could go through the clouds and windows, and is known to cause more long term damage to your skin. Our LED light contains a tiny amount UV-A; the amount is so small, there is hardly any. This small amount of UV-A is in the light because, although our light is calibrated to the visible light range, the wavelength of light produced fluctuates a little bit, and a small amount of light at the upper range of UV-A is mixed in.
Here is an example that'll give you a better idea on its safety: If you are okay sitting in a room with a window during the day, or driving in a car, you are exposed to more than 400x the amount of UV-A contained in our LED light. On top of that the client exposure to the light during a refill appointment is approximately 3-5 min, and only 5-8 min for a fullset appointment.
This is why we can confidently say GS400 is safe for your skin and your eyes!
Can I try the lamp before purchase?
We will be at beauty tradeshows across North America. Come find our booth and you will be able to give our LED gel lash system a try!
Is your lamp UV?
No, our lamp is not UV. Our light is calibrated so the wavelength is in the visible light range. During the development, we opted for a visible light range and not UV to make our lamp safer for the clients and lash artists.
Our light contains zero UV-B, and only a tiny tiny amount of UV-A (Amount of UV-A from our lamp is a lot less than the amount of UV-A you get inside your house during the day, from the sunlight coming in through the windows)
How long does the lamp last?
The GS400 lamp has an approximate life of 30,000 hours. If you assume you do a fullset of 80 lashes per eyes with 5 sec of light per eyelash (which is longer than necessary), the light is used for 800 seconds, which is a little over 13 minutes of usage.
That is 135,000 fullsets! Assuming that you treat 40 customers per week, 8 customers per day, 5 days a week, the lamp theoretically lasts for 3,375 weeks, which is about 65 years. And here we have calculated that you only do fullset of lashes, so in reality with refill appointments which tends to be shorter than fullset appointments, the lamp could last you even longer.
Can the lamp head be changed?
No, the lamp head cannot be changed.

We currently ship to USA and Canada.
How will I know my order is processing?
Successfully placed orders will receive an email confirmation. Please check your spam or junk folder if you did not see the confirmation e-mail.

How long does it take to process an order?
Please allow 1-3 business days for us to process your order before it ships out. We strive to get your orders out the door as quickly as we can, but we operate with a small and dedicated team.

How long does shipping take?
We currently ship to the USA and Canada only. Shipping times depend on your location. All orders are shipped from Ontario, Canada.
Once shipped, please expect your packaged in 3 to 5 business days in Canada, and 4 to 6 business days in the US. This is an estimate and not a guarantee.
What happens if my order is lost in transit?
Due to the pandemic, shipping times have been extended across our carriers. Often when customers write in that a package is lost, it ends up arriving later due to delay.
Because of this, our current policy for replacing orders is that the order's tracking information *must not have updated for at least 20 days*, including the initial scan-in (there have been delays of scanning received packages at our carriers as well). Thank you for your patience, and we hope that shipping times will return to normal soon.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your exchange policy?
All unopened items can be exchanged for an alternative item of an equal or lesser value or for a store credit.
All exchanges must be requested within 5 days of receiving your package, otherwise, the sale is FINAL. Items need to be returned first before the exchange is shipped out.
Once we receive your returned items, please allow up to 7 days for us to process your exchange or store credit. Exchanged items can be sent out with your next order, as long as we receive the items being returned. Kindly email us at support@lookgorgeouslashes.com with your order number and we will be happy to assist you. Customers returning a product are responsible for ALL shipping fees.
If an entire order is returned & free shipping was applied, this fee will be deducted from the store credit.
Canceling or Changing an Order
If you would like to cancel or change an order that you've just placed, please email us at support@lookgorgeouslashes.com as soon as possible. We will try to accommodate your request; however, orders for items that have already been processed, packaged, or shipped cannot be canceled.
What if items were damaged or missing?
Damaged, missing or defective items must be reported to us within 5 business days (from the date of receipt) to qualify for a refund or replacement. Refunds or replacements will not be provided after 5 business days.
How do you handle returns?
The health and safety of our customers is our top priority. Due to the hygienic nature of our products, Look Gorgeous Premium Lash Supply does not accept any returns because we cannot restock opened or used returned products.
We urge you to open and inspect your package when you receive it and contact us immediately if there is an issue with your shipment. If you wish to exchange an unopened product, please review this policy in full first and then email us at support@lookgorgeouslashes.com to discuss the reason for your exchange.
Please note that items that are discontinued are FINAL sale.
